My first knitted Sock

This is my first knitted sock. I started the first sock on double pointed needles (dpn). The hardest part about learning to knit socks is doing the heel and gusset area. But once you understand how a sock is constructed it becomes easier. This pair of socks was knit with worsted weight 100% peruvian highland wool. By the time I knit the second sock, I had taken a sock class where I learned how to knit a sock from the toe up on one long circular needle. This method is called "The Magic Loop Method" and has proved to be an invaluable way to learn to knit in the round. For a video tutorial on the "Magic Loop" method go to my list of favorite knitting sites, click on the "verypink" website and once you are on her website go to tutorials and click on knitting a sock with magic loop.
