I came across a pattern that I wanted to try out a while back and as I started getting into the pattern, I realized that one of the knitting stitches required me to "Purl front & back" or most commonly written as pf&b. I had already mastered knit front & back so I thought purling front & back shouldn't be a problem. Well I thought wrong. Reading the directions and trying to do it wasn't working. So I went to youtube to find a tutorial on purling front & back. I watched about 3 different tutorials on this stitch and was even more confused. I tried several times to manuever my needles to mimic what the video was showing. Sorry, still couldn't do it. I was beginning to think that I would never master this stitch and then I came across a video tutorial that changed everything. As a matter of fact it is so simple, that you might wonder why so many instructions on this stitch is done the hard way, why complicate things? Here is the secret: Instead of purling in the front and then in the back of the same stitch, just reverse it. That's it!... "Purl in the back and then in the front." Wha - La!.. How easy is this. Well you will see, just watch the video tutorial at www.verypink.com. Go to this website, click on "techniques" then click on "Purl front & back" and in about one minute you will understand the ease at which you can do this stitch, thank you, "Very Pink" for the video tutorial.
