This is the quickest and easiest baby sock pattern and it's free. I found it on Ravelry.com, the pattern name is called: "Socks for Sammy." Pattern has 4 size groups. 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months. Each size has a different weight yarn, but pattern remains the same. By using the different weights it automatically gives you the corresponding sizes. These socks are knit from the toe-up and use "Judy's Magic Cast on" method.
