When it comes to finding time to knit, a person who works full time, and yes that also includes those of you like myself who are homemakers and even have children still at home, may find it hard to find those moments in the day when we can sit down and pick up our knitting projects and work on them. The nice thing about knitting is that it can be put down or picked up very easily when other tasks demand our attention or when the phone rings suddenly and your in the middle of counting stitches. My kids are in high school so I try and knit while they are at school and find that mornings are easier for me because I have quiet time to knit. My sister and I talk on the phone almost everyday and I find that while I am talking with her I can knit (I put her on speaker and then I have my hands free). This way I am multi-tasking and making good use of my knitting time. Evenings are also a good time to knit. Especially after dinner when bellies are full and family members are ready to settle down. I knit while we are having family conversations, or while we are watching a movie. Knitting is easy to take anywhere, like to doctor appointments while your waiting in the waiting room or anywhere where you have to wait for something, even getting a boring oil change in your car. A few rows knit here and there adds up faster than you think and then you will say to yourself, "Gee, I'm finished, that was faster than I thought it would be." And when you knit in public you are sharing your love of knitting with other's. Maybe they will be inspired by your work and you can get all those "ooz's and augh's" that you rightly deserve.
